Project beneficiaries were:

  • 12 000 children – audience of puppet theatre performances (live, interactive and educational puppet shows attending
  • 140 educational institutions (120 primary schools and 20 kindergartens)
  • 200 children (future peer-educators) from 10 selected primary schools;

Goal of this project was to educate and raise the awareness of peaceful conflict resolution and affirmation of permanent and stable communication and cooperation between people amongst children, schoolteachers and students of Teacher faculties (future schoolteachers).

All educational activities, part of this project, were organized and realized before or after regular school hours and do not, in any way, affect regular school activities. Genesis Project has obtained necessary approval for project implementation from Republika Srpska Ministry of education and culture and from Cantonal ministry of education, science, culture and sport – Zenica-Doboj and Middle Bosnia canton in Federation of BiH.

Beginning of March 2007, project “Colorful world” was enriched with one additional activity (thanks to UNICEF BiH funding). Through method of participatory action research we aim to find out how much children, their parents and their schoolteachers know about small arms and light weapons dangers and to learn what kind of attitudes and behavior they have toward SALW.
